4 F3 K7 I$ ?- P( W; o8 [Integrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
skills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded
  {/ N2 L  |9 u: u6 h! cprogram combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
8 ?; n* Y$ q2 T; D+ cwarehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food
services and others.

: D& K4 V8 I- fCandidate Profile:
& V0 N# `4 y, t) `  G/ _
* E  J" e0 \! }. ACandidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
, k3 M" I3 M9 u- ncitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
, @1 l+ y4 y( q# O3 T) e*        English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
: {9 t. W/ y% @: N*        Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-
' K* |% ]  ]+ P9 j+ S6 ysecondary education
. \4 H: q% m0 n. T, m+ W*        A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
+ f) Z0 {) v% _) Joccupation
# V1 ?! G- O1 g; s' C" u0 |, G*        Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed

Program Description:

                        *        4 months classroom-based instruction and
field trips
        *        Improve your English while learning about a variety of
$ M3 c+ Y- h: e: Bhigh-demand occupations
$ e: d9 Y% E. Y4 z3 U# d) a7 b        *        Increase computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Internet, etc.)
        *        Write a winning resume and improve interview skills
        *        Get First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certificates
$ v+ }6 s3 v% t! f        *        Take advantage of one-on-one employment counseling
5 X* I5 z$ D* D! ]" M* |- R; y# M. N# K                        *        1 month work-experience placement
