skills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded0 k) p4 x( E4 v( b- K! Y
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
( E; B+ a+ c# k1 B. f$ J- ^$ F- bexperience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as" ?, }4 I# N: Z, P$ g4 Y2 U" g
warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food2 c! V! ]9 T' C
services and others.5 h, F' f, e% K, F8 e: j9 g

* R; @+ J5 n/ |7 yCandidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian. I0 G1 [- ]- p" V
citizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:& C8 u _' j( n5 p" d" T
* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
% i' p2 O/ E8 O) b5 N8 R/ Q; K* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-
# j* m8 ?6 G6 c( s; ?+ ?secondary education, H7 u5 X5 M8 z
* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand( |4 w" K! I' s1 y- l0 ]* d

* Willingness to commit to a program and future job
