The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.; m) O. • Answer multi line telephone system

5 ` p b1 Z9 [) R; o) o/ k• Arrange courier services for all departments
# h4 S# ]6 h9 n2 [% q3 n• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers8 A n1 u" h0 m" M

Administration
' S+ A* K+ r& {+ S: F• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail5 A$ ]. {+ X j& Y
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries4 S2 b, t O3 E# O. m- ^* F9 o+ f8 i
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
: f( E0 U. o- q1 F2 q' F# m• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration
+ b) U M) S, C3 F: W• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers ( r3 V* l. _. c' D; `
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution
& j6 G; j8 H8 e! i$ a* t9 n( L• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training! {; A" M' Y( x% B; k' s
• Process payments for ticket orders and registrations

& N4 P0 p$ F! a• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
: m3 c4 U3 B ] Z( e6 Y; q# M! R• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
1 `9 A; z' F$ K• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset' h9 C: F; w; F3 n# j$ T
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills ) f5 N& E! O: M& ]5 R9 ^+ d) X/ N
• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion9 @5 b+ ?0 D& G9 L2 _& q9 T) e

• Strong customer-service skills
