Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff. Z6 l+ p7 x8 ]* W

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff ! U- A0 a9 P% }0 c; o7 V

Key Responsibilities Include:
) b3 v5 @0 T0 U( L) |( `Activity Planning and Daily Activity
; Q- ^/ a. e3 o' M0 |; V% S; a• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
0 {* S' d( ?+ n4 r7 ?$ x• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
6 J, ^+ C0 w% [ O& ]6 P• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, % l3 W( ~% o8 B V
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
7 ~# v: {: A* H/ ~; h• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
1 y- e. e' b5 g' q& l& b• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.! h- n- A6 r e# q

• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
0 o" Z5 u$ K ?5 Y& ~• Experience with children& D$ z$ {& d; @% M5 f; Q/ b7 ]2 I; S
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth $ B G1 Y) C6 @8 Q
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
/ K* J# @6 a& F/ D& k/ @) z( o) R• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.8 i+ T. b5 D3 M: @- \
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources6 R: r; K6 y$ {: C
• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
0 u; ~0 x8 o# |• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
