& a1 E3 H, w  M! P! R" r- b8 N+ oBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

4 M! u3 @0 a+ V2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
5 X7 U+ j" P* ?# V; V! J(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

Key Responsibilities Include
; k) v% S( j; RActivity Planning and Daily Activity
8 Y, q( X; @% I•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
! y8 F  ?, ]& G•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
8 K0 e! v+ A* |0 c" u, M•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

2 k4 `+ |( c# _. G& t' K' XThe successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
$ a9 {; e* X: W3 j•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
( g& ]$ ~1 S" q•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
" T8 F2 v7 E+ |•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
