Responsibilities:

Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
! X! U: \& U8 zParticipating in data migration and conversion initiatives
+ V# F1 S4 p6 K! ^" GPerforming changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
! k/ O' U+ C5 z  \. IPerforming  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)

5 E' j$ @; W7 A/ MParticipating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
Maintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
" E7 I3 n  p+ ]# R2 x6 HProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists

$ d4 p! b! p# g. M8 YWork directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

  A; E9 ]3 T' s7 V* D' {. `3 vDiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
+ y; r) A' q2 B5 ?& pExperience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
" Y, t: c% y. a0 F( E# }6 xDetail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
Strong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:

Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
