Specifically, this resource will be required to have experience in setting up, administrating, and managing very large industrial configurations (i.e., large number of servers and environments as well as multi-process servers). 4 P+ z- v+ d$ b
Administration of production UNIX (AIX), Windows, and Linux server backups in a Dynamic Drive sharing environment.
+ F8 z# u. k8 `9 ~' |7 ECandidate must be experienced in designing and administering large numbers of standardized configurations and following ITIL standard administration processes.
. K- z6 Y W! }: G e$ ZMaintaining and implementing Enterprise Backup solutions in IBM SAN configurations, IBM SAN hardware and IBM Storage Manager Software.
1 K9 R6 P" `1 O' pMaintain hardware relating to servers and tape libraries in a raised floor datacenter. , B7 M" J, J C4 e( C& \
Working with hardware and software vendor support personnel to efficiently resolve any issues with systems being maintained. : n' z3 O* \0 {& l& T( O; [
Ensuring all backups meet audit and SLA requirements. Archiving and recall backup reports for auditing purposes.
: {3 `' F, V4 o/ VHelp implementing enterprise wide system monitoring tools to monitor production Windows and UNIX servers running a variety of crucial business applications. 9 z" i6 C& T6 B# `
"MUST HAVE" SKILLS:
$ U8 K2 S; A, O+ F6 d7 rThorough knowledge of Windows operating system and familiar with various Unix flavors like AIX, Solaris, and Linux ( X! C1 d! T0 {& j+ n
Strong IBM SAN configurations experience
$ j- v$ V" e) s f8 oExperience with enterprise tape backup solutions - backing up and restoring Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows servers with both Oracle and SQL databases. g, ]7 z# G5 ^; j
Experience with troubleshooting in large environments. 24 x 7 on call availability.
