does anyone know what different between postpone and delay?

When I write a report, some project were postponed/delayed? what is the different?

They certainly have similar meanings, but they are not interchangeable in many cases.

8 x; u8 `" |! X# A% ~" P6 e/ T2 BIf something will be pushed back in time by a few hours, it's delayed. For example, weather can delay the departure of a plane.

When something is pushed back to a specific date, days or even weeks later, it's postponed. A business meeting might be postponed because one of the key people got called out of town.

6 R9 @; y' e; s; D7 M' q" ZOn the other hand, something like a product that is supposed to be released can be "delayed" (not postponed) for months.

感觉是从上级那里来DELAY，都是POSTPONE，下级那里来的就成了DELAY了。因为有人可以BLAME了。哈哈。。。
