動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.* T5 ~; [& O& w8 _, t9 K. H" @
我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。4 L9 {' N% \) W9 G0 G

( e+ B0 m& ]3 V0 nThe boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.2 l1 h# r( a! ]- l( c

5 o$ T6 I6 n. E" T9 d7 ^: `$ aThe Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '
) N8 N) U* j1 o& i收銀員說:『抱歉!你買這娃娃的錢不夠。』1 \% F* k1 H( f/ i- S$ e
) q* G' i  i7 a
Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,( `6 |* d% N+ o0 @, D
are you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '% u- q, g  L+ V) u4 l! t
小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:. h: m  b' S% Y4 u/ M9 L

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' ', v) E: G! V' i3 f0 j$ g& ]) r
老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.7 k7 }% r9 n  ]! L$ F! \$ ~$ i- W

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' ') o2 L/ y& @, s  q  ?

3 }) O$ C1 [( C) u3 e- Q( v# Z; [# gThe little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. ') k# T; [3 N  o; G" w5 f6 `

) B5 A  w& Z9 |1 oThen he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '& \" l9 |& |& D

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.8 ^8 E; K# o% R9 Y: B1 o) v

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ' Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll! ' '
9 R& V9 c* k) O- h3 C我趕緊摸著錢包對小男孩說『我們再檢查一下,說不定您有足夠的錢買玩偶! 』

$ b/ l9 _* z) A'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.$ @. M( B, i: V1 W5 z7 x' B
『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。( W2 a: P; @! Z& G2 M3 W0 c" L

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '0 S& P% b6 d1 O

* Z0 p( j; l* s7 q6 @" \0 I8 {Then he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.

I couldn ' t get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young

, r/ d% @+ g2 P/ p: f, Z0 O我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。) W; l9 y1 r& t% k6 T; W* F% r: C

0 @+ k* q5 S0 N; yThe little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical: e: k' m5 _8 s6 S
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
1 Q" p9 [% X4 f' d% Jlife-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.6 g* o9 u2 d/ ~- _9 O) l

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.# p0 C& [. F3 M; x  m& _2 x1 V
我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
