Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
# t6 D  H/ r- Q- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
7 ~" r6 \+ M. ?1 Q" K; L' M- Recruit children for summer program
3 \% Y  T  Q8 G7 G/ C$ a- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
' Z: \$ B: b- {- K- Prepare final report for funding agency

  m4 g, b) p3 ?7 e. qQualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
7 F) m4 r3 B, A4 Z  ]) T" l- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
& V9 n3 X# t3 _: D& a- good computer skills
- f+ @5 }$ A, \) |9 Q" J- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

+ C; T9 p1 k. o* Z( i. ?$ S- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
