FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
3 V3 g1 P6 O# hsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to / R0 C! A) O+ F0 _5 W8 V5 Y8 L* L
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern " y- n4 Z- s- c5 n
Alberta. 8 E, {$ ^! K) |( s1 @# B Z

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ! q% B/ u5 d; {9 a+ v" Z: a
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 5 d D" x1 w J9 h5 X! V
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
) u# q5 g+ c) ^9 Sresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
2 g4 D) {# @' d& v* T$ n7 bscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern " k( _/ m9 }! r6 H8 Q

1 b$ Y% O9 \* ^1 f. ?$ TFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 4 {- Q P" u( ~; C9 B5 N: d/ q
well as the script, magazine and book library. ( }+ v& J/ T& @$ \! H- G, p4 P

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
- k; w# ^2 g: S- v+ _- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 9 b& _1 @0 |% t& j
- Implement a catalogue template for future use

- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks
