summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

& U& P/ Y, X# ^emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
5 [; ?- R$ W5 q r+ |- Rand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
* f$ h1 L2 y1 J2 G, O- O! I+ I1 MFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as $ j. W2 i# H& o K2 x
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 5 C$ Z: d8 r ]" w, T3 x
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 4 w! K+ H* H( E5 k+ c. R2 N3 o/ O
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 6 p" j4 } x% o) V* Y5 W# y2 W7 Q: L
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 3 g+ X8 N$ o/ I- `! M" ?% | o
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
