FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the + t! F/ m3 \1 E4 N. v) @* z
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to # T) e0 o( C8 s6 c* V( G
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
+ ?" V3 {5 L; `8 @+ x4 P6 uAlberta.

6 {+ W# Z4 q. nFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 8 ?- O' {: e, E3 Z1 h, A$ [
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
) ]& b' }( P N: M$ K) v4 L7 Vscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ( }2 t: i" R# [' s& f0 o
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 6 x) i( @, o w. @. }6 n0 ]% g
well as the script, magazine and book library. - k8 u7 j- |& W5 w0 J

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
: ?1 _( n) g" Y i5 Y2 a1 H- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 1 y" \& j- M" B+ o! B2 ?" q1 o
- Implement a catalogue template for future use

- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable e/ H1 ]) a0 f% H! M8 A9 w

- Strong organizational skills

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
