FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

artists from Northern Alberta.

/ a2 M6 p9 v# p2 }) ^and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
5 M& q; I+ x0 s! YDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by ; F' k% h- R2 o$ O- A
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties:
) W/ M8 F! n! e: m. W- Assist with research on acquisition grants
# @$ ~6 d( W9 j/ B% ^1 d) G- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities ; V9 S" Y& F0 N5 q
- Assist with equipment maintenance * s/ h2 N1 I1 f
- Assist with production logistics for programming events 0 [5 T4 F5 P% V0 u% R" b8 a
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff * l& p2 g, U3 ^1 r
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

secondary training

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
