Job Description
/ q5 j( F: T' W$ w' i+ O8 V- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to 9 l, B- K9 D' c) z$ b& X: u& L
provide services for Chinese community1 H6 T" r8 Z r4 G
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
6 I% U! A3 W+ i$ \% J% I9 W access to mainstream services$ S6 C" ?3 B- O( K |
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of * j+ Y0 `* H% o' u, z% g
social services! N7 z8 I) |6 {- \5 ^& |
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies8 n: ?0 S1 i! G, Y; m! o
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
* k U8 Z) Y& C- update ASSIST website9 _; v* n. w. ?9 y6 \% k2 p
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
- P9 k- k0 O) e4 V: p1 w2 y: w- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
8 o: g% B; b7 q! a s- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
^6 n+ D8 R" A2 p6 l- update membership database. y: y, S+ g8 K! \2 v. D
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications$ ]7 E. w* O+ ]4 b1 K, `8 o
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
4 Z/ r% Y- z& D: Q9 p' n experience and education
- d2 ]2 }& M- |- Q- good oral and written Chinese and English skills B3 J o6 v% ^/ `' N
- experience in community work and immigrant services- X- I/ r; l' V' \1 s
- experience in website update/design
5 M( W- B- d5 g' U7 }2 S- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
