Position title: Community Development Worker

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
% i9 |4 V" L& ^! X! G ` access to mainstream services
9 [! l- _& i# C( n- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 6 O k: N: N) W) x# \2 [; x

- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies& T7 z1 K/ ^1 b* Y& K E, s
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members3 ? ~5 a* R m$ S1 t6 `: N
- update ASSIST website
- N3 f j/ V1 C. K: P4 d$ _- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time7 X+ i* X5 E6 F

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
! N7 B; c; f. W) @" @& L- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
: h% ?% l; f8 V9 N experience and education 5 J& ?$ Y' E; r5 i2 a
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
' |3 C# f1 K) X, p- experience in community work and immigrant services
9 O, C+ x! \" t4 b) M- experience in website update/design3 Z. V, y; t5 v
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset) [4 q5 E2 X Q, |. Z3 w8 w- A" a: `
