Position title: Community Development Worker

) _( U/ T+ k: w3 T7 w- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
7 s. N6 p1 {1 G+ i! J u2 I0 ^ provide services for Chinese community
3 Y" d, V" }, m- Z- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
/ B3 A! `1 m" L* Y( Y access to mainstream services9 H( s3 c ^- _9 I- r2 O+ O) x
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
& l- m4 s# I, [$ X6 y# @4 S social services. J7 l2 O! n/ |- J
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
% d1 U+ m4 T! m+ Y& o- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
6 _! j( S( e l& r% u' Q2 b# Q% J- update ASSIST website# V. y2 B! d6 {$ v
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
% P C0 J; p( b5 Q, s( b2 Z9 W+ l- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
7 a- Z. k6 Z& S- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

% M8 L2 C( @0 r- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
5 W7 k6 A/ U* w! e0 p experience and education
; w9 A0 q% t$ ^! B. W- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
3 X$ e$ i0 l2 {1 x/ L! j- experience in community work and immigrant services0 s8 @& k' @% V) ]
- experience in website update/design
' h1 b8 X. y7 L0 x/ E, Q- I2 Q- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset* B0 \: P3 H# k1 a; U/ V
