Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program 1 H: w. F; ?4 k4 H
(ages 6 to 15) . m6 ^$ u B, n" D4 ?4 S8 H
- Recruit children for summer programs
* _) G% U* z; E3 z4 L- Recruit volunteers for summer programs# w0 K5 e( R3 t' I" ^% W
- Record keeping$ H9 V: q) R# p9 P! U. F
- Provide orientation for parents
* M8 g: N- C) ^5 [, H- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
5 c+ w9 T" ^( I- W3 @( L* Q8 W4 P8 O- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:, ?. a/ @1 c: g2 _- {4 U6 m: z! ^
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education7 p/ T2 a# A$ X3 q1 q4 w: ~
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children3 ~- S5 S+ E# S5 j
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills; a- w! @5 G( n" k
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
6 S$ R5 S1 Q# N8 T: H- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
! C5 C: ]9 U1 C+ E- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities7 l9 |- k2 C1 f
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

, F9 b* x- q4 u$ a- ]- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) * S7 W' P/ \6 O9 u
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
