6 f9 Z3 k% d8 X" `! b" S" d1 H * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications* o. z1 Z, { D0 | E
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
" C# i* u2 p6 |+ z( ~( r * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance7 [4 e9 p* H* S& w
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students & B( q( Y* G1 o# q4 i% X3 P5 W
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
* `1 ~5 t. x. h8 y * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
* ~1 d$ o5 i4 F: s * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment7 Y. u% D" [ X
