Duties

6 f9 Z3 k% d8 X" `! b" S" d1 H    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
" C# i* u2 p6 |+ z( ~( r    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
* `1 ~5 t. x. h8 y    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
* ~1 d$ o5 i4 F: s    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

1 t. ?, A8 t4 R( [    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

, h! F' T- y. _3 s3 O1 q( ^
; ~7 s" [) C  L: e' b4 @' E好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
$ e  M* d4 y% M5 e% Y3 V- WSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
, s$ v/ ]6 V0 t1 _+ o8 U( D& u- C: hwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
