Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
  U! m" J% ~0 M2 D* Z+ ]Responsibilities:
- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
7 Z6 w4 f) E5 y- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
) F  G6 N1 o2 ^* ~  f- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
; U) z  ^, j9 O& _$ q- communication skills
* F; Q( Q5 W( V4 ?3 I; e- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
4 I4 n0 Z  Z/ @' X/ _) ~$ z- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
6 d; T: K- w- ]& G- leadership abilities
' H% O* V( x0 b7 c5 W- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
