A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)0 P2 M( z. S. T) ~; M* {$ @
• Standard Child Care First Aid- ?6 y' t% n2 M7 a' N
• WHMIS1 r, Y$ q) x, r& Z) P
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
( C' H3 K. U! t0 [; k1 b- c' v• Components to improve communication skills$ y' k9 V/ q: A b2 ]
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search$ v6 y! t" Z% b
• Practicum Placements& I9 v i; p. g. _2 g
Eligibility Criteria% X. x9 @- H! y$ }9 D9 Z
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen! l9 t7 p: o2 }& X0 I* o) l2 y, ^
of Canada$ e* t0 v5 f, b, t, h+ x* T' k
• have a Social Insurance Number9 p# I% @3 j J- X: @' }
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
& c4 B, z3 p0 x• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
, \6 \5 }0 R3 F• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time3 W, k, d* M- M% R
program
" R4 Y% U, H8 y/ hParticipants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
0 w) q6 c5 e8 S: k# U" F/ Ythe following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
