9 M' h# n8 g: n* d我在多伦多，journeyman, cable splicer, permit with IBEW535, 因开工不足，希望到阿省寻找机会。
* u6 ?+ b# K! Q我的问题是， cable splicer 在阿省是否需要licence? (cable splicer 属于 power lineman 系列，后者需要licence,但cable splicer安省不要求 licence)
我的具体工作是 安装5-230kV XLPE 电缆中间连接和终端，终端包括与架空线，变压器，空气绝缘开关（GIS:gas insulated switchgear)连接。

我也不太清楚，据我所知power lineman是需要证的，单就cable splicer是否需要证，我想可以向NorthernWolfy 请教，记得他是做高压相关工作的。

I guess power lineman has their own union, please check local 254 website.
) \% @7 p5 F! y3 m# Q7 mhttp://www.ibew254.ca/
and send the e-mail to them for detail information.

This union is different than IBEW 424 or 353 where the union directly hire electricians. But IBEW 254 is an union which only negotiates with the collect agreement with employer, but the employer hire electricians. (I am not very sure)

It is not lineman work in Alberta. Most of this kind of job is done by electrican for <=25 kV and power system electrican for >= 25kV. Cable splicing and terminating is a small part of work in the high voltage contruction in Alberta. You need to know how to do other job besides this. Personally, I do not think it needs a lot of skills and knowledge for this job. Normally, the manufacture, like 3M, will provide the training.

具体LINEMAN情况我不是很清楚.
