Job Description
Position: Youth Services Manager
8 |# {( o' t+ t2 K/ CFull time position (35 hours each week)

Job Description – Responsibilities
! q6 J$ f7 W2 U% }$ i& i. w3 t•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
# _3 I$ E$ ^* |, ~8 {# j•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
  Z6 M9 @1 j- Y9 C( T, }•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
1 |8 z* K6 w& u# a; y% i•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
$ o) b  w# i. i1 e! ]" t•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
' N9 C% u3 B+ Y$ R  q•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
! x' o/ x* l6 `•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

/ t% m% @; d1 `! D1 c2 i$ r! T2 tQualifications
" p6 U$ F* k+ K' M! h; X•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
. Z  B# W) I" }* Z% I( l* K4 H•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
) `2 y3 c# K( [% o•        willingness to learn

•        requires police security check at the expense of employee and child welfare check
