Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant
0 y# A% j6 Y3 L* lLocation:        Edmonton' M; ~  u2 g" ~. F
Reports to:        National Sales Manager4 X: F- R% G  r& |7 P

Major Responsibilities: 3 v" E1 M6 K% h, W. a; ]- h3 ]
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
' S" Z8 l" E3 j0 w# d% z•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
" C; L+ i& Q3 D6 [•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  3 d  m9 d, Z& L8 v
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
+ O$ W3 Q& ?, ~; e8 J8 M+ y•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
8 v: `( `! U* d# Y•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
/ K/ ]2 s3 `' r" b7 o5 p) A•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.( |# `6 U& `4 J$ e$ L1 r% S
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
$ \- \  x8 J1 u6 a) `- _1 P•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
3 _$ ]; l  V/ z" ^$ \( L# m•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.& f. V4 Y; M, Z: l( Z0 s
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
) ]* g" W: C4 s•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes." y9 x$ d+ t7 A  W
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
8 n2 F) D( C6 C6 Y) V•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
& N+ v4 s8 T+ N•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. 4 w7 Q8 _, A" D" X& t
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. ! p8 J, D$ L" f' O: v  ?
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
! ~  e  V2 M  w) x  N& N•        Not scared of heights0 Z" w; ]9 a4 i  ^3 _4 p* W
•        Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
% V9 ~) j4 x$ ~: o  l  T•        Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 0 K# y/ |# ]: L( f
•        Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.) H) e( {7 \& u. p
