6 c: I2 w% B/ ^* J. P * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
! U: v8 V! a* e7 | * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
! w7 N- D) s4 ^) ?. U * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes4 O% l& [0 x! o7 L
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat/ N ~+ }' E% H$ M X4 X3 W
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
+ O( }! d0 P$ y5 h * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
: U9 l, J4 D0 D5 A4 W& e0 b * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs% x* R( b- X9 t+ b0 U1 b2 J
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director9 `. o' B+ L9 L5 [5 y+ K4 k
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning: v+ E3 P$ U$ z+ H
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
( s, B2 t( U3 \6 m3 K/ C2 y * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
2 t2 y, [8 l. P2 c7 k * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
) b$ ~$ T& e0 Z" B * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications& f/ C8 k% X, q
5 n$ n9 N# v4 _; W8 b * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred5 J8 l L1 _" B5 R8 z
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth! r* t8 P# [8 H! L4 x5 p( O
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset# z" [; M) d. f; I6 y3 v
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
/ M5 `+ p4 e% O- E/ a$ c, d * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills7 l. H% ?# Z' o5 K. q; N" a t
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning( d5 L% N# i" T) a6 I x- @+ o
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)7 _* l& O9 H: O1 J
