" V; a9 x0 F7 d. F( l * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
x* u9 [) N5 o! n * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
/ r+ n2 W: J; Q0 Z# a! J * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
; \( k& K3 B& R5 `& A: g" l( ^ * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat& }) E+ o& b3 F0 O3 u* x
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders! c; r& Y0 \; V* C$ x
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

Qualifications

$ K3 X! K9 z( E7 S& k * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
. [9 O% l3 c3 p( I1 i! x. f * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth& n' \4 L% I' ^6 d# g
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset4 {9 ]* O6 y' [ x4 G6 Q- j% q
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
$ m8 o7 m" P% T" C) h1 Y: l * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
