* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
: F! e5 [. E; ]+ N * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities& e, I3 G" u, T8 x+ p6 t+ N
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes' g" p( O2 T; v; R8 H/ t
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
1 q: f* C- r; e/ R# z2 D * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
. U! V/ K" w% Y2 H* o * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
G7 j+ i; W' H+ Q1 m * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs7 X9 N) I. k" f# i
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials$ Z* V0 j1 s8 H8 m
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media4 F7 V" a' g: v2 i4 a# F# [* A- N
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results

Qualifications

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
8 F" i2 p( d8 g& E * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
" M5 Q$ W% d; d * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset) B. K! x7 ?( Q6 X0 \3 o+ j' ~: ~, i$ I
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
1 b& _1 Q2 {( [ * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills7 C* a7 T. `2 R+ D0 m, @
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
8 H, p, t% l& _5 Z * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
