7 h% k* g7 b/ k& ]1 a' `! v! W$ X6 n * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program! x; b- Y. w; a4 |# J
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities" ^2 Y- L! j5 {
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
) Y+ v1 t9 K" G" O& E3 U * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat! G$ j; @+ D7 v0 R% b! p% k9 V
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
& L. ^) B0 `0 i8 C8 Z5 z0 D+ d * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements/ L& p5 L+ |6 o
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
, u- ? Z: g2 |6 x * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director) Z, P0 @ H; @1 _) a
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
) Q. {6 _* }4 v. V2 \3 i% B * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
' @, h! }: y" q' E) p * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications
8 G1 m n, I- ~+ v5 x" F
2 p n# t5 C9 `3 C* p. F& Y * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred0 Q- ^; q5 S* @% ^& |
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth7 r& O- j7 d9 V
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
. k1 g/ l. ]5 @ * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
6 @/ M+ t8 p+ O; P" ]2 T5 p( r2 R * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
3 O" g" a% v: M w * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
, ]2 j/ c. `! r; e) g, [ * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
