* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program z0 _& ^1 ]/ F4 G) E. @
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
: g6 X; ]$ Y0 B( l' C * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
$ K% l6 s7 d. I9 n! l5 q2 l/ ` * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat+ m5 n N7 m% L7 b; B+ C
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
1 Q% c. |( I6 s * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements6 y' c' v) u2 u( Y+ k& F
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
" N& ^: ?' l: W, m Z5 H * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
; g) u) N9 f! z; M$ f" m * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

$ x% H2 E! o$ o P) C& Z$ f" L * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media. a! ~0 t8 t5 Q" N' v9 Y/ v3 M
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results( t$ F f/ X4 ?4 g0 x1 X4 Z
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
" b1 p/ g- q' i& K * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
6 G2 R! q/ x; `# d$ }6 }* Z * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
" K# n5 j5 V- f) _ ^ * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies8 M. W5 R& k( R. g( s
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
+ R9 Q( K) z+ g1 o0 r * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning M. V4 @1 J* G6 M; R
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)9 ~3 w h5 j9 o5 g
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
