Duties- [% r+ d# }  V
2 x# G$ w; G( |: |* n0 z, M' w
    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program* B4 {" k, A3 C5 Z
    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
; J( |/ w4 ~; m# ~6 @" a    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
- I/ F8 R- o( A  x1 L9 m    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat8 o: ~' E. q4 Z9 \( Y: p6 U: {
    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
3 o$ V6 j8 x* h% i    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements. C3 }8 B: u6 M: E  _4 w$ `8 ~, Z
    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
, Y" A% r( c8 r    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director8 E) r' ]+ T- o; \* G% Y! Y6 p
    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning
4 _' T( n) G5 m* G    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
% J- z3 T% P% c% E    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media1 W, e1 F0 k' N: \/ B6 R- N2 w
    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
  E+ `( G/ b( Y    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies; Z$ H  F( s' {! T9 L# |! U4 x; y

Qualifications8 K" E4 R' d: I' z9 `& C
- ^5 R- k# J8 c2 ?. K4 M8 Q, g
    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred& L, F, A) P$ {7 X4 y
    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
$ n) l* s& i- b7 G- k    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
! j' B' Q+ s- B  f& W    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies. `% j1 e/ c: f( C. A' j5 `
    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills# A$ l- c, Q5 }. a9 H  |
    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning( _1 {+ F0 O' z+ y7 M6 q, o- k( b2 [" T
    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)8 a3 ~( T0 w5 P. I5 J! T# n+ a
    * Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
