8 Y+ d; R% i Y9 q' X5 v3 J0 M * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region
& j/ P1 t1 T3 ] * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group! Y2 u. H) Z( R" ?8 l8 p4 t" k7 r+ d
* Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators
5 I6 ?8 l7 H4 q: { * Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations6 I% I9 D2 F5 H! D' _' t
* Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Researches and develops a LGBTTQ youth mentoring program

* Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports

Qualifications

' D) [* r, U T# d% e1 K * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
$ Y* D8 N4 ~/ s& y! ` Z, h' G * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
" }! v* q2 ]# y1 L4 V! i * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies7 A. x6 w6 U4 g# v7 _
* Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs

* Fundraising skills an asset
