CALGARY - Six people, including one child, were taken to hospital with minor injuries Wednesday morning after the boom arm of a crane truck struck the front of a light-rail transit train.7 l$ v7 W( Y" M' t+ ]

The accident happened around 10:20 a.m. when the southbound train was on its way to the Brentwood C-Train station. There were about 30 people aboard the train when it was struck by the crane, which was stationed on Crowchild Trail southbound. The train derailed as a result of the collision, coming to an abrupt stop and causing several passengers to fall, police said

The driver of the train had to be helped by passengers, but was conscious and talking when paramedics arrived.
