Abstract: The Social Recreation & Life Skills Coordinator, is responsible for the overall delivery, coordination, administration & evaluation of the Children's Programs which include the Sat. Recreation Program, Summer Fun Camps & The Youth Life Skills Dev. Prog. He/she carries out all Social Recreation/Life Skills Program activities in active collaboration with participants, staff & volunteers.

Essential Qualifications: a relevant post-secondary human services program degree, Recreation Therapy, Social Work, etc.; 2 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education/experience working with children; knowledge & experience working with children affected by mental illness; able to work flexible hours (including some evenings/weekends); Valid Class 4 driver's license and access to a vehicle; excellent time management skills; excellent organizational skills.

+ experience coordinating & implementing social/recreation programs; knowledge/experience in prog. development, evaluation & research; excellent written/oral communication, PR skills; awareness of risk management issues; experience working with volunteers; current First Aid; able to provide current, clear criminal record check/child abuse registry clearance; registration with professional body.
