Position: Employment Support Worker / Terms: Full-time / Salary Range: $31, 162.00 to $33, 059.00 annually / Location: Edmonton / Closing Date: 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 08.

  n; z$ G, q& R9 W, U2 [- RAbstract: position is responsible for providing employment assessment and counseling services & casual/temporary job placement referrals to participants. Successful candidates must provide a criminal record and child welfare check.

$ J7 I' C: `- m) q; N" D3 VSkills & Qualifications: agreement with Bissell Centre's mission, goals/values; ability to manage time effectively & organize tasks in a flexible way; familiarity with the culture of Edmonton's urban core neighborhoods; understanding of Aboriginal Culture and experience working with individuals in conflict with the law; experience in providing employment services to participants with multiple barriers; knowledge of Alberta's labor market and ability to market Casual Labour service to potential employers.

C6 e# h3 nPLUS: creativity & problem solving skills; some post secondary education in a human services field with a background in employment counseling is an asset; Alberta Class 5 driver's license + satisfactory driver's abstract an asset; good working knowledge of MS Word/Excel; must be able to work early morning shift (6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.); equivalent or alternative skills will be considered.
