Furniture Installers, for our Edmonton location
To perform furniture assembly, reconfiguration tasks and functions pertaining to

to furniture installers/assemblers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

· Ensure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled accurately and
/ {: h; F, u: w) @( T) Zin a timely fashion.
· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.
4 I: a" z/ J8 n. z) {· Drives to customer location and complete furniture assembly/installation to
& \0 p1 \9 d0 i5 y3 W! K% Vmeet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This
2 u$ l3 E; f, O0 ?. A; tincludes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and possible reconfigurations of metal
and wood furniture at customer location.

· Follows all safety procedures in the performance to job duties.

PURPOSE:

Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
6 {1 V0 h7 I8 Y; Vspecifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
; b8 z* w0 b; J' N. I- j  [" t4 NCoordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
* n# F, ?6 ]) Nrequirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
2 F6 S6 j$ D! [8 b- {( jto the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
8 M; x6 i' w" ~! i6 ?that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

2 T9 Y& p) ?: d0 VESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may
be assigned):

5 z. c. V; i" E; I, O1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to
% N& O# f  ~" F8 C/ y: kmeasure layout.
2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
# l& G9 l9 K4 s, x$ d$ r% v9 l' {* eproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
( D4 q1 x3 Q7 W' X( H/ qdrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
specification and installation.
2 X  _5 R2 z( Y& f6 n3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
9 u+ x/ Q+ f' V8 fmeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
& z8 X# W' m8 \9 Y+ w: `) `3 nneeds.
! n. Y( A+ U4 Q' t# C! V0 g+ T6 v4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
' h; m3 w: B) |5 E* b* Mplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
checks.
( r6 D& G8 X3 Z$ d1 S6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
# [% O! Q  j) Z: {2 v2 u& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
, T) v0 [4 [' o" y" w7 \assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
and revisions.
8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
6 E! x+ Z) p" P3 Q5 I# @9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review
+ Y$ b. E" K/ y: Bmeetings with the furniture management team.

design, and construction representatives.
