JERUSALEM - Israel is sending disaster relief to China.* s: c1 O. N2 W4 g
6 Q1 a& o% n) y8 I( G# q' k. jForeign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel says a plane is on the way to southern China carrying clothing, medical supplies, generators and tents for victims of the May 12 earthquake.

Mekel estimated the shipment was worth US$1.5 million and said it was due to arrive in China later today.
