Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel says a plane is on the way to southern China carrying clothing, medical supplies, generators and tents for victims of the May 12 earthquake.

Mekel estimated the shipment was worth US$1.5 million and said it was due to arrive in China later today.. A& T, v6 E+ B! r. g$ z+ A |0 Q

The earthquake has left at least 62,664 people dead and an estimated five million homeless.
