Duties
0 D$ G# _# I8 f2 |9 T* JWorks within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
9 ]0 O( `# x* }+ o$ i4 dResponsible for specialization in workstation image management& u; P" {' ~# Z
Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers4 z8 ?) ~- u3 Z* f( P: Q9 w! U
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support: o- g8 a' ^7 \+ A! S" z
Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff
; t* X( ]& {# Y6 z! zEdits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System
+ D% ~* w5 F7 lDevelops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
4 b0 Q" D- ?( v- h' m; ~Develops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
6 }) K/ j! }; `1 W$ M1 t# tDesigns, develops and implements MySQL relational databases; p* W" R$ j5 \$ Y2 m
Qualifications; j( B) p) [; [" D6 T f
Two year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program) d# g6 ]6 T. r) X2 E
Recent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: L5 {8 ]' c: p" u6 j5 z
Minimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations" _1 f8 g7 {6 n
Experience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)% U+ M' Q+ Z$ N9 ?/ r3 x- p+ }9 c
Strong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills
