Who is my Examiner?

tests. They should be courteous and professional, keeping conversation at all times relevant to the, d( }' | I4 O, \& I

What do I bring for my road test?

· Wear clothing that is practical for driving and comfort. It should be appropriate for the& I# _$ h4 n- K0 d3 {8 `+ g

· Your vehicle must meet all legal requirements (good mechanical condition, valid

The Examiner will do a vehicle check with you. You will be in the driver’s seat and the examiner will ask you to
( r3 D7 v1 ~6 T0 M. Uassist in checking the signal and brake lights, horn, brakes, and steering. You will be asked to describe and. `7 t" j: p, d
demonstrate two of the instruments or controls inside the vehicle, such as the hazard lights and windshield
& G) o s3 B: d! S6 V% g! |wipers. The Examiner will provide information before you move the vehicle about the route and the instructions
: S! {# e) K' N, G# u; fthat you will be given during the test.

While Driving …

· You will be given ample instruction in advance for each manoeuvre and activity.
/ d: ]6 O6 _' d/ P, H: C- a· Points will be assigned for errors. You will be allowed a maximum of 75 points to pass the road test. N7 f8 N9 l0 \3 s
You must not do anything that is considered unlawful, dangerous, or unsafe, (for example, speeding or not& ~, S5 W( G$ F: V1 r+ A
stopping at a stop sign).
$ ^& p/ h5 {/ r: x4 {7 Q0 j· The Examiner will not try to trick you.
! ^3 b) _4 l* w6 P) ~! R6 b' s· The Examiner will not ask you to do anything illegal.8 | `* ~+ i/ W3 G( U+ H
· When the road test is finished, the Examiner will highlight the areas you performed well, as well as
) {; b& @5 h8 uthe areas you need to improve upon. The points for errors will be explained at this time.

Test Permit. This will indicate that you have passed. Take this permit, along with your learner’s licence, to any! I9 h, z. D% C1 u3 g5 w( d2 d
Alberta Registry Agent to have your licence changed to a Class 5 Probationary Licence. There will be a fee for this

What do I do if I do not pass my road test?
