Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
3 Q; \& r+ \8 W" T/ l3 }! ]- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker& x: ]# l# r' m& y1 S B. O
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
, D4 c) {6 Y' E$ Z" Q- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services, i6 _+ ~8 B2 @: ]
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
* y A* J. k P. J$ ]- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies1 f% W, ]$ i1 o. P
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members2 W7 Y$ ]9 l/ e+ n& U) U
- update ASSIST website9 A& K4 z: t0 R
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre$ r) g* E) F$ m
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
- ~& k) K9 h; v) p- assist in writing proposal for ISP- N1 |/ _* x# c7 L, v
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
4 [9 S$ @8 Y+ g l" Y- hold regular meetings with ISP team$ a2 i J, G" [8 Y( G
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time1 G; a5 v1 ?) M: X Z9 G
- update membership database
! X! w) ]+ ]1 M+ F- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)! T+ M# C! A6 H$ u# b1 b3 o

! c7 i' |4 c R- d9 ?/ R- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education ! a6 ` K6 a& x6 t5 y
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
# J6 c' Z7 ~& _. o- N- experience in community work and immigrant services" _* g/ V' K8 U- I4 n
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset6 O' r! Y" y! F4 t
