Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

; u2 P s; b, f$ b- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.* u0 F) I- J* D' @8 h
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
* V* o- {( _% v. y& S- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:% P0 Z( _( J/ S
- post secondary diploma
- P& q5 \+ X, b! Q- b! w* m, t: S& c- customer service and office clerical experiences/ _# Q* K; [4 s2 b/ z
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset- }- |$ S6 V/ |' h, D1 D; w2 p' b

Job Description
" O- `6 }; e. X1 e- l/ u$ l# T- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community8 \; Y% ^8 {0 {9 R! X
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
" H4 N5 j: R. m1 B: i: e- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
2 w3 g& Y8 x! J2 j6 `: q, O9 y6 e- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies! v' _; o k$ R
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
( f/ {& M: T M, W4 |- update ASSIST website
# p# o+ J h: S* I) F+ N% K- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre4 E* l, ]% }- c2 S
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services' l2 K1 p! U: B
- assist in writing proposal for ISP4 y; K4 I0 F1 X9 P. u1 {0 ^
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
, s0 E( K3 v2 n+ |; O8 I- hold regular meetings with ISP team
% i+ x9 v. F. p2 P- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)4 Y1 A: o ]4 j4 z" G2 f' x. M

Qualifications
. r/ u5 F+ \; C* |3 C9 v' O- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education % P/ `* h% m8 f3 N. v
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills9 z6 b9 e) g* T/ \0 N% P) E8 z1 w
- experience in community work and immigrant services
2 p" K# b1 y6 H1 G2 A8 R* Q# r- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
