Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

! [; U& W, P3 v6 {( LPosition Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker
(Full time: 35 hours per week)
Job Description
-        answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
3 Q; \& r+ \8 W" T/ l3 }! ]-        assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
-        reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

" v2 `0 r, a; {1 ^Qualifications:
  e0 R6 I$ h6 ?6 R  r, s-        post secondary diploma
4 A8 B& Z0 v7 t) x- O. L6 O- D-        customer service and office clerical experiences
5 n& Q8 v8 V4 z% G-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

(Full time: 35 hours per week)
Job Description
-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
, D4 c) {6 Y' E$ Z" Q-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
* y  A* J. k  P. J$ ]-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
- ~& k) K9 h; v) p-        assist in writing proposal for ISP
-        write quarterly and final reports for ISP
4 [9 S$ @8 Y+ g  l" Y-        hold regular meetings with ISP team
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-        update membership database
! X! w) ]+ ]1 M+ F-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

! c7 i' |4 c  R- d9 ?/ R-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
# J6 c' Z7 ~& _. o- N-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
