Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description
9 P$ u0 D$ n* r* U# B8 I-        answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
$ C. e- Y. m" P9 o' B-        assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
-        reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

4 s/ S+ Z0 f2 Z* [+ Z. T* fQualifications:
-        post secondary diploma
-        customer service and office clerical experiences
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

Job Description
- w- a( ]* f/ P; K- z0 H5 s% }' Q# q-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
( }1 I7 a" m* Z, I  [-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
. \% A% i3 x% {+ U3 I% I-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

& O2 {' j( Q4 s/ U1 R$ ^- M4 i% `-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist in writing proposal for ISP
- S  i; m2 z2 h2 m+ O# b$ H: K-        write quarterly and final reports for ISP
-        hold regular meetings with ISP team
0 |+ E2 U: L( {0 [3 d! F-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-        update membership database
. d, d. r" `; _! h' u-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

3 G, w' D$ t: iQualifications
-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
: t; g$ S: d/ H) g-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
' v5 P8 p' C- \9 k4 }0 x9 y) j-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
