Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker
; C* `! _$ }( F0 a( @7 ]* V(Full time: 35 hours per week)
Job Description
$ n6 ~" f" k$ Z* m5 `! _-        answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
-        assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
  ~' B7 W0 Y' o+ ?( h9 X5 `  L-        reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

' O" t* z: |5 ^0 lQualifications:
-        post secondary diploma
-        customer service and office clerical experiences
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

Job Description
' Q" ]0 T/ y9 p- _) p% u3 u. }-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
. |7 X' l& D, y-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
3 e' }8 ]9 o: z& r6 b- M-        update ASSIST website
% Z/ f1 D2 c% B4 e9 r. b, y-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
% G7 X( J/ _: P-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist in writing proposal for ISP
& w; X2 T. x% W+ Z-        write quarterly and final reports for ISP
7 p% P" ]4 I  m4 W-        hold regular meetings with ISP team
- P/ X1 A6 A4 M* f-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-        update membership database
: Z/ _: M! l; m6 ]8 b. f- p3 [-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in community work and immigrant services
