This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for' @( Y- h; w; e' L9 Q
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

3 f. j7 ~4 [ G+ K! oTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
' [9 W t* N: S5 H/ j# vof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different3 I& p" X- k: j! i% y: \
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.! x6 x3 _4 R ?9 G7 t, P, l, y
4 I0 F8 q/ ^% F) _+ r$ OCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
