; W. P4 `# o; C/ L* ?; K' QThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for" R0 k- e- }5 }; V0 c+ g# C: u: y
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.' L$ P/ t }* j \! h8 ]# S

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
6 Z4 p8 n/ X3 s* @3 n7 Gof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different5 J( G) P! g) h, T. v. a
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.9 i x- V, r4 i3 k
- `4 A( C9 }7 a* GCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
