ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
/ {2 T% \) F! C# @technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
4 p/ N; i% ^* f* sstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

6 @9 f& ~  z, _9 ~Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
& f$ J) s. w6 N$ x3 ^7 uobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
9 w1 w9 [) v& \0 lcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
3 E1 y+ m/ q# W+ K; h) q% }! b. qis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
2 q+ m6 R# x( V" kthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
