Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
# e; s, C! H4 Q2 O4 ?. ]obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a3 `- Q; n2 Z0 q) I9 B* \5 J
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
. j$ G7 g1 k* t* `( T* y$ V( A' ufrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is D! X3 n3 n/ {- @
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
' F5 v7 C3 I9 Y( W0 Scloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
9 b+ i6 t, p6 J0 R m# l2 u$ uover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
5 s5 N. Y- b/ b! Yis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
2 l( Z9 A o w6 p- ?6 kthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
" w$ Z6 |; Q. u: I) \; U( daccurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external, ?/ f* K9 T% G0 Z7 \3 Y$ D
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
