INGREDIENTS:

• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract( if you like the flavor)

• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder & V8 }, R7 C, |5 J% K6 f
• 4 eggs, well beaten6 x, S5 j* F+ P% M! K1 A! L
PREPARATION:, G+ C3 T4 Y. ]! \% [ c2 n
Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition. . k9 F7 P% n& R) X7 m
Turn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. " t" [% z$ ~ `$ R9 P9 z7 _3 h1 W) b
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.
