The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University+ ~( { i8 ]6 g9 G# j
of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the j) E- _2 z% `5 S6 b, d
eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
; \5 a+ [1 ]$ x$ |! R: @% w cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and( _# P8 l4 d: S. @) R
customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on$ s. b* O) n2 _9 ~% f
this broad land.
" G$ M6 U/ e9 R' _% M. d! h$ P
) _9 H* X/ O. {4 NWe encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to
, G- I7 B; e- L/ E contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and% R# H6 z3 S- O+ @6 L
talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
4 n* ^+ P9 J! ^& ?; x+ q4 B }# V performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
+ m& [- F, k# A- \ ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
. P3 n' f; p, Z! f/ y( i Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a6 r$ j. E( q. b0 `# Y: ~ e1 }
lot of fun, like what we did before.

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs
. x7 C; K5 A9 Q/ h& x7 e) g: q sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
! x3 t7 b" \, a% a" ~" B stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any4 [6 J; x+ Y$ s4 D1 D7 i/ l
performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your* d, M5 R/ c7 V/ V
program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up/ z. c$ u1 h2 @; \) x5 H
comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since5 U/ @: f8 i5 C: O& x% a4 S) y- y. J
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.- Z; _, r$ |! o. q3 W
) t: A* F; ]0 g& \ q6 f
Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
' V+ e# v6 E# s9 J on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system
8 t- J9 s- J5 a& S: X# ` control. & I' E% C7 Z! i/ U( W, `* G& o! y
