First call for actors -- CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year

3 L- n* O) v" v0 W/ xThe Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University% ~# O/ T7 v0 B5 O
of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
+ ?1 E* A' K. U eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese9 k, R) s8 Y+ K3 F! \( R5 ^
cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and
( E6 u, e# e( E+ L customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on
* q7 p$ i0 {1 O this broad land.
, \# G: U: E3 x + g9 z6 I4 d& U' L: G& }
We encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to
- Z; U* \5 R$ r) e6 ~; ` contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and% B7 g% k- L; e: ?& S* G5 L
talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in& |$ e0 q: i9 l2 z# Y! M+ P/ K
performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
8 R3 y7 j1 n) d+ E f3 N" { ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
2 d8 x3 H5 P8 i Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a3 O& B# g( [' y% |: l) `* @
lot of fun, like what we did before.9 {9 [, B* i0 ? c
0 h& V6 f- s3 X9 i8 PAs far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs
; e2 l: |" i" S6 N" D0 f sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
I# \3 |/ A- e stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
* F! d; v* X; s* N& ^; c performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your7 w$ x1 ^1 i: ]* q* z3 d! g3 c
program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up2 X0 r: @+ }" t6 l6 ]* T. Q
comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since4 E+ e' F \9 z. ]* g; L
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.

" ] H% r: v) z6 _) D) ^" i! s' |Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also8 U$ S, Y0 T" _
on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system
