  First call for actors -- CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year

The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University
* c9 b1 O; |6 J9 q of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
3 e3 f) G4 p2 x: T3 @% x! U eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
8 J( E/ ?5 W* p cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and
4 g' i6 B( U6 j( ` customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on
: t5 `  j. ^3 L' {; i  g' w this broad land.

8 |1 [  c7 g. P% Q3 I* a: VWe encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to
9 T  Z* l# C# D' l  v contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and
1 M7 W7 X3 f' m0 r talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
3 n) u" U3 m; h9 H" J& r7 [ performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
* r6 }) e" b; i+ [ ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
+ M+ ^# {* a" Q+ X) t& F' ~ Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a
* R* X" ?5 P  c7 u( l lot of fun, like what we did before.

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs
sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
) x) m8 @% s% w  u1 _4 ~ performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your
program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up
comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since
! @# }& h4 Z" _% a5 l3 K% K CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.
; s) }5 l$ Y/ m. Z) d
Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system
control.
