• is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

• develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

• develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• provide opportunities for staff development and growth

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders+ T; v- B- ]" }. C
• set program priorities and directions

- F' n3 A; L+ H8 s( c- G* l• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required# t! I9 A! m0 a2 b! H7 A
• build on knowledge of community resources in program development
& @% z+ t2 S" m( b, T• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others0 M& w/ {; _# ~' j8 S

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
6 s# x2 d8 v. r. C' s• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders

• identify community needs and trends) E/ F d/ n# ^" s& U
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups, `( v# Z* H1 L* D4 H
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups9 p# y! B6 X- F% N, s8 V
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

- University degree in a related field; 7 f6 B: u* J# `* w
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;1 V- L9 i7 `: i# ?0 |2 K
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
- x+ w, p# n/ f( R* q. n6 Y. j- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

Salary& e' c. e: [. J) k. z
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
