• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff5 y4 i, C* W( h5 Z

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions+ {* C$ w- A% A3 |' r
• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

• meet with staff on regular basis# f% \" P! _6 N& L( t
• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff4 t! e, e# m( |. L) g+ @

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends

• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• communicate the value of the organization to the public

• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
" H1 M8 A# ~2 J+ C• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
0 {. R7 Z* _8 M9 z7 F• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
0 M1 ~. c) K3 z6 g' r6 D• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff' c$ n* C0 Y, G7 n: |7 u

- University degree in a related field; + Q& s: g: I* E4 I- v3 Z
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;/ S3 D& U% m: W% g" `
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
/ v u0 Z; T# s/ c* X- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
