Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
0 S9 K: E/ B4 u9 S- submit information for community news o6 S5 ~. x% d1 F9 ?8 T
- provide volunteers to update membership database
# y0 Y' Y4 l. t- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers% \( E; j0 p! n) x+ a
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
* ?: K% @* t4 \( ~ y5 V- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
) y m( P+ B& [- provide volunteers for various programs & T& J5 V1 f0 W( t
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
7 L$ F0 v* n1 [8 ^6 K: m- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
: K/ f% `$ F7 h7 M- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities! _3 O7 K1 q/ o7 |, z4 [
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
9 _5 x( a, ^1 |: d+ T* ~- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports X- u. \; k% V; z2 W
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
+ U, G8 T1 S; S! c- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
& f% M" o: q- b1 U1 u- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)8 U" R( A, E7 g4 Z- ^8 f
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

3 o. L& N; Z6 H% r5 `# L* Z6 ?4 J- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers

Qualifications5 B9 @$ i. i) ^
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
4 ]0 G% H% L4 T, p/ a. i2 q- good oral and written Chinese and English skills$ i: w' T: }, P
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
6 e, S% X4 }) L7 m0 ]+ B- leadership skills' K& W j& t( d% A8 G
- management and supervision skills2 b+ a2 C% f8 t2 Z3 ^1 J9 i
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
