- submit information for community news
. G& P8 `0 _% y, J- provide volunteers to update membership database# |) a+ Q7 a( s5 ^: H
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
) n& u! @" F; Q- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties. u4 [. K* [' A* M, B9 y
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
- d n5 |& x4 T- i( A- provide volunteers for various programs
- `! S+ m8 w9 Y/ I- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual; G9 H) \3 u- ^
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation3 ?" c) S( {( V2 ~
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
# j, s7 P, i6 [( A7 ]- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services

- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed" }: v* O7 s' n3 D0 [7 Q$ h
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed7 q8 [, d# f; q' _ `
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)* J" R. ]8 h. j$ P
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events & d; O8 e& f6 k( a
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual % F- B6 ~# ?* F) n8 u
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
4 ]# I X, j n+ l8 a- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 6 P2 J3 r' F$ K# m2 i' p L
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

Qualifications: H% X9 B% B+ a* e. x2 R/ @" T
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education s: X1 k; ?& u. l( E$ |+ t6 f" @0 F
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
$ |$ r( z, `9 e! I8 s- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services; e5 k& Z! X8 `$ y: }9 J2 A
