CALGARY — Screams filled the air after a 17-year-old teen was killed after being struck in the head with a pickaxe at a house party. 4 D1 r/ o! x1 J" c

Neighbours said about 100 teens were at a house in southeast Calgary when the attack happened in a detached garage about 11:50 p.m. Saturday.

Lisa Poole, who lives two doors down from where the teen died, rushed outside when she heard a lot of screaming. . ~- F1 K7 |2 ]

I saw one boy laying there with a pickaxe stuck through the front of his head and some blood on the ground ... I haven’t slept at all and I can’t get that picture out of my head.”

Staff Sgt. Kevin Forsen said police are currently interviewing more than 40 witnesses to the attack.
