Apply to Extend my mom's visitor stay

+ [0 E8 h8 D& i- u) _6 s/ PMy mom's visitor status in Canada is expiring. We are planning to apply for her extension. I did read the application package but have two questions:

1. The reasons for an extension. Can we use the reason: we want her help to take care of our new born baby? There are people say it is a bad reason. Is it true?

3 i3 n. s' L, D! u7 ?* a- B2. In the Document Checklist - Visitor. Proof of means of support, as specified. Since we are taking care of her, what are the required documents for "proof of means of support"?
