An Alberta woman has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from a small town in Saskatchewan.

- T1 M" w& U# N; T3 W$ xAccording to the RCMP, the 26-year-old woman from Strathmore, Alta., faces 12 charges including fraud, theft and false pretences.

The RCMP began investigating following a complaint that money was missing from the town of Kyle.

& i' }& x; R: U, @+ @4 u4 c/ t! \/ rIt was learned that about $18,000 was missing, the RCMP said.

Police said they won't release her name until she makes her first court appearance.
