This is a long term posting with the successful applicants being called to fill positions on an ‘as-required’ basis.' z5 L) W, C& ?! ^2 ?- A

* A5 h7 v9 A% f r• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.

• Respond to customer queries concerning transit information.
0 \0 r/ Z% u# a4 O' S( J• Operate a Transit diesel bus and/or trolley coach, on a day, night or split shift under varying weather

• Obey and follow defensive driving guidelines, local traffic laws and Transit system regulations. 3 J* u/ A1 K+ F: R" |5 D
• Ensure the safety of all passengers.

• Proven ability to deal directly with the public, with well-developed customer service skills; the ability

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (operate bus controls, re-set trolley poles, provide passengers with assistance i.e. strollers, wheelchairs etc.).
: L7 h3 n, e9 W) D5 Z• Applicant must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's license (non-probationary and non-graduated) and must have held a valid operator's license for (3) consecutive years.# Z! w# u& [, o% j: `( C9 Q4 M
• Selected applicants must pass the Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's class 2 written test, at their own expense, prior to training.' l% b. Y! K' i% P+ a+ o+ A6 V
• Applicant must provide a current driver's abstract (obtained within 14 days of the video test date) & P+ D4 s$ X4 R; e
showing no suspensions and no more than 3 demerits recorded over the previous 2 year period. , v# N! v. v5 X2 z) U; w
• Ability to pass a written English comprehension test, a public relations video-test, a driving skill ' ^4 I( |' m% X2 \# o r4 w& _
video-test, a Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, a pre-employment City medical examination and a Police Security clearance (at their own expense, prior to training).
