6 v( E! D8 _( d! G7 fBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and/ u. \, `1 D7 `* c$ `4 m+ }
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
* r9 b1 M. S p/ @6 E, fprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.& h$ N! R1 P! J) d: P- e
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
. G z; ]7 S6 T4 Rartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.. @0 O& y' S g, L- [5 f# C1 P
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for1 ?( T O" h' G% ^! b2 a
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
/ H4 k5 \% t/ U. hrecyclables.) z. u* V; J6 ~. Q: t; }
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
# e: Z# I) Q8 S3 n# B! t Apart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.7 s) Y1 y2 a; N& C/ Z" y4 `
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing( l4 p7 }1 n$ P' _6 @
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late" _" p7 W1 c- `6 s: ^: w
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
" b" L, G- h: f- KInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the$ N+ M% @- U. M7 q. y
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide1 i2 ~& D( v% p
programs to visitors to the festival.
; D% M( ?3 X% A. b3 f9 rKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
9 G: Q- v2 T+ i% j7 oeveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
: x4 I1 l# K7 gOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed6 f& P2 X* J2 P8 X) S2 ~
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
! `) A: {7 G# ~festival.
) _4 \2 I' f5 C) s) \; q% f/ QSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is- c2 d- ~, f5 A$ O7 F( h e2 F/ q
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you3 y) Z: _* c3 P7 n& G5 h+ R: f- |
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
: b4 J2 h, q, }# C3 t! \Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training( l3 H Q5 J+ C6 c, v
and/or understanding of back stage procedures., o. d2 f! ~7 T8 R: Q9 c/ _
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be5 E5 p1 o! ~! A+ }" @1 b9 c
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as6 I: H# j1 u) h" b
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival8 D3 B. V9 I2 p
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
