Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and. z+ `/ s4 |9 J
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
) n) Y6 k+ o/ I8 A0 Y8 zprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
, r8 p- \4 O3 ?( e, ^; e, k3 M6 RChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the4 E7 Q& `( {% X+ ]( f& k$ Y k
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
5 T. ]* [9 {) k: gEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for6 t% K6 Y: `! p6 r' C. A
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the+ ?' J$ q* l0 L
recyclables.; l7 [1 j0 B, n$ y7 l- P3 s0 ^
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
# C" Z. h% o* ~7 Spart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.3 {1 @1 H$ e2 U" i
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
* k- W6 B' N& l8 g$ |' ~them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late3 J$ i2 T2 @' u6 A% e7 J( e
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
3 O/ R) O7 P# x, zInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
2 b5 P$ w! t& @& j" @/ F9 Yfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide: U* `; B" U0 a" H, q- `+ C6 N
programs to visitors to the festival.0 j5 A% o* ^4 D1 z' I
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
/ X8 `& B$ i c3 p" leveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.+ n0 y/ a, o) W4 I
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
: F- l k4 \* x5 l8 [8 Mevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the9 A) l5 z% E, l. Q; G0 Y
festival.
4 ?' T' K9 ^' v% A0 A% t. kSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is/ ?. t( l2 @# N6 v: R" ?* `
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you+ g- f/ R& ^% O) E7 G2 |4 F6 q
are physically fit and ready for any emergency." n8 z) J( T* g
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training6 d- y7 F Y9 q: f) s& h
and/or understanding of back stage procedures." i; ^: S! k! f* F* _
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
" X/ D, D1 O' o- ]* f" F4 Hrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as H' w2 K" Y6 p4 S
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival+ E Y* @! z" |7 V# x
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
