Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
; h4 X$ T2 ^) Lwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
# B( [" I' R, N$ Bprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
% b5 d) d! m( W' k P5 L: O8 p2 nChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
+ _9 M6 s: ` Kartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
1 E/ P, `' Q! {( V& u; K3 k8 sEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
1 H2 d! J0 R& l( @/ xvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the4 N1 b* \8 z, O+ R4 L- l6 L( [
recyclables.; z l) r) L# x0 o
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be2 e9 ?5 W9 L% ]2 {) a3 I6 X
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.) `( v. G- g! g7 ]/ R. B. G2 \
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing* V# }( q" @4 F% Z& }
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late3 G6 w r$ F7 N5 N1 s( x+ F G$ q
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
2 F X: `' f; v: N ^8 |& TInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
1 s3 ^4 F3 A8 b* m bfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide0 r f* _% u# h3 x8 A
programs to visitors to the festival.3 k# y& D$ N4 G; n8 f
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for) n9 }- X: O" `1 o: E5 N- z. Q
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
" M9 K/ S0 d! u0 n0 d$ aOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed* \4 I2 y' }7 K
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
. v* d% N* E7 O, N4 O+ o+ Ufestival.
9 Z8 Q0 j, U2 c5 y- e: fSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
' g8 W7 R0 o4 N0 foperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
! W, k' i# Z( Z4 j3 }- Nare physically fit and ready for any emergency.
" b: w$ z2 q. r: @& dStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
# f: Y E+ C% D3 L8 p8 \and/or understanding of back stage procedures.6 x, Y2 _- Y9 y: z3 C# {* C
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be& j! j7 ~% h1 F9 x4 W0 o' c$ p
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
3 x5 E9 a$ w9 a9 u1 d7 Iairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
3 Q/ c8 T8 o2 ?7 K. I! c8 c* i$ T# Fstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
