work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
( u0 y. H8 X9 O7 Uprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.6 D9 Z. l* A6 J! W F
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
a+ z! e/ f/ A* Z% C& }artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.4 I' r; I0 J2 z6 P6 z$ c
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for7 |' D1 X$ A$ ^3 `9 k, k2 [
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
4 ~6 r3 r, ` q$ r! t3 arecyclables.
: a9 |1 N+ }; y3 ^9 rFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
9 J, g. T- B9 _# Zpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
0 K: T6 s7 n6 }( x4 Q& [Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing. Z. e+ u8 ^; u7 S
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
2 L7 ]& q) b6 Mhours are part of this crew’s duties.9 o- |+ o$ s+ G, p! I. o9 U2 h% a
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
5 a* D* z! N' O x# t- }festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
2 u9 A/ ^& v% r, W7 }! _. Nprograms to visitors to the festival.& g; S0 D+ ]. V# D) N
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
5 {# W* _8 Z0 K8 w# K3 |* p, m( K! Veveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.( ]) e. u) {8 c- o6 v- c5 ^& O
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
% s) L8 O# B$ n" Ievents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the& @- z& n. t& |2 v
festival.
: w& S2 Z* k' c! t) r( q3 p, lSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is) N# \! M3 _; M0 M% ^+ Q2 O5 H
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
* p! @: Y7 s6 `5 r, ?% ware physically fit and ready for any emergency. a+ @, E. m& R ^
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training* l4 }2 ]. Q5 y
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
$ `$ C) H. q8 \8 Z* L5 VTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
$ @0 T' g' E/ Srequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as1 o' P1 H0 q" C# R/ l9 Q; ]
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
+ p$ E, g% X% _. s6 F( zstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
