JOB SUMMARY: The Chief Returning Officer reports to the President of

1) To run the elections as per Bylaws 2000

4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing
* s9 B9 O' x8 a. U4 x6 g3 Y# j: Qadequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations

7 u1 q. b0 {4 f1 b, ]5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/

6) To report the result of an election/referendum to the appropriate

10) To be available to all parties during elections/referenda for a
2 e1 O4 v+ P6 u P- zminimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday,

of voting. These hours are to be posted in advance.8 z7 u4 J' b( J3 f+ u

the course of an election/referendum.

12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting

13) To submit to Students' Council, prior to April 30, a final report 6 l$ y& ?: F5 @; z" }$ c# O
of activities and recommendations.

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week

QUALIFICATIONS:

for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'

: `, N( F) ^% ^, |( Q k( L9 a& @2) Must have some experience in student elections.6 g% f2 q4 O! R: \3 k
8 z* ~+ {! J% f' a" r K3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or ' N' y0 [3 |0 i( k# Q9 _
any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position 7 l& E. t4 U, K8 d; K2 p
