5 @, B2 e; d5 L2000. The Chief Returning Officer shall be recommended to Students'

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:2 h( c' ^7 b9 k+ D0 L

1) To run the elections as per Bylaws 2000/ `6 v7 w4 \4 E, K* ~

* b! n4 b. C' w3 ?9 I3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.

4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing : ?. z& y: h, n- V7 {& \1 }
adequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations
+ o( _2 ~" F% E- z% A2 Z4 M qacross campus, and advertising the poll locations.

5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/

7) To facilitate classroom speaking arrangements during an election/

minimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday,

of voting. These hours are to be posted in advance.! w6 ]1 ^7 k# V* T7 \* ^! }
' y! K( { [* ?% _( n$ z11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during 1 @- ~( A( u/ p1 a' o% D% q$ ^
the course of an election/referendum.

13) To submit to Students' Council, prior to April 30, a final report

QUALIFICATIONS:* A: t9 D# `0 p' {- O, N8 S
a, x" e; B q- R1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course
# \7 i9 o, S; t2 o) Sfor each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students' 4 K2 _9 W ~9 N0 V5 @8 D
Union member.

4 O; E/ T. |% M+ O2) Must have some experience in student elections.

3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or - n9 W& a) c# b$ H, F+ \
any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position * K1 ], H- p8 Q8 z" C4 g, Q
with the Students' Union.2 D4 `" L# b; J& ]4 U
