JOB SUMMARY: The Chief Returning Officer reports to the President of

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:6 e9 Q" o5 o A

2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000.

4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing
' W0 y5 s0 L& e; O/ w0 l! fadequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations ; h% W: }) X. x& Q

5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/

7) To facilitate classroom speaking arrangements during an election/

) Q/ G" X% j; f- N9 s( ~! @$ R) @minimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday,

13) To submit to Students' Council, prior to April 30, a final report

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week ' e( |* ^) ^* n) X E
of campaigning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5 b1 ]4 `& `) g, S/ M1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course ( O) z0 ~* f- K5 y0 V. j9 a
for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'
! J' o$ A* H, V6 bUnion member.

2) Must have some experience in student elections.. g6 k( V/ M% f( {
* t9 ]5 W5 ~" ^- M5 F, f; W
3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or ) K5 J1 F$ f1 Q7 @
any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position 9 i8 f' j1 ]* o5 ~
with the Students' Union.
