请问,怎么区分专业硕士和研究硕士?专业硕士对工作经验是不是有要求的还是申请比研究硕士有难度?

never heard it. as i know, there is a difference between Master of engineering and Master of Science.

一般说来，专业硕士主要是上课，参加考试取得学位，根据不同的专业，有的也需要提交一到两篇小论文。而研究硕士上课比较少或是不上课，主要是靠提交论文取得学位。研究硕士的培养方向是研究人员或继续读博。一般说来，申请研究硕士可能更难一点，有些学校需要你有研究生文凭或参考你的学士学位论文。

I was in Master of engineering program in University of Waterloo : Just taking course! no funding, no supervisor, no thesis. I tried to get in Msc but failed, so I quit.

我在国内读完了硕士研究生的课程, 由于没有时间写论文, 因此没有拿到硕士学位,如果移民后去UA读硕士, 有什么要求?

I think that is the question about course-based program and thesis based program.

那么说,专业硕士的开头是MEng咯?可是怎么又有帖子说,MEng也是有专业分的?如果我看到一个学校的programe是M of Eng 的怎么知道它到底是念什么呢?

Nothing special for admission. But you can try to negociate if they allow you to transfer some courses you have taken in China.

fishmen既然你念过MEng，就请你好好介绍一下吧。
是不是所有的MEng都是同一个内容的？还是和msc一样，也有不同的专业？

Not every department in an univeristy offer both M.eng and Msc. In chemical department of UW, they offer both but  M.eng is not available for international student. Usually, admission of M.eng is much easier since you pay everything by yourself and you don't need to find a supervisor who can accept you. the one of disvantages of M.eng is that when you try to find a job after graduation, your Msc will weigh much than your M.eng since people is more interested in what you did than what courses you took in the university. Of course, to find a job is complex issue, not only depending on degrees.
    I remember I told you my quitting of UW, because i can not tranfer from M.eng to Msc.
