ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. Community Initiatives Documenter
" t" a3 Y% r( c' J" bThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.! B D% p& N. M8 r( Z! @- F

1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.0 U9 E4 [- x2 t5 u5 P
2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
" G* i( H. V1 \; {( f3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.1 p( `" J K% U X% K4 f" Q
4. Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.
