22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

% h% I; R9 n' e( r/ pJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
  s' r$ x; Z/ P2 J3 ?; Mprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

1 X6 d7 `  v( o1 b. Y8 fDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
5 F7 D8 o* g  S' n2 T1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
- }+ h, F) x; v/ U5 X2 kbeverage items.

' Z- Y" t' k  h& H, R2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
9 }/ Q6 M3 ]& e1 w% Ueach shift, and upon closing.

. l$ U* x1 B0 P, K  f4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
5 `) T* l& Q" O- t2 _4 B! F% gattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
7 v" G5 U  _) x; nseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.
% w9 s0 ^  J$ r; ?, Z  x
5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
8 N, }5 T2 r  [4 }( C% D: E0 A  ]; Ustorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
7 S6 _  c' ?' b6 H7 M( W# Jproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

8 `( A" b! y; }% D0 g# l6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
. X: e! |/ I5 ?0 \0 kmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
" t  q* Z( ]  Kaccordance with Students' Union policies.

. T  v. J/ Z5 C( J# l7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
  s/ F/ x4 |; d To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
* \5 j. `* c8 z' A8 v/ e4 n/ z; Z- ?Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
9 O( O# s6 s2 ?2 ^  U* i1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

0 O: r* W, _5 f" w9 G4 Q2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
4 f# `0 T0 s9 z4 w4 @; S( _+ v+ Poperation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

: f: }! x/ v% r) ?: A. [) {' Q4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
, P4 }. [; y4 W: _. k7 W% z
5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
