BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving

7 g  K: f/ r8 a& C22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  
! f/ e4 _8 f& w5 f5 Q! ~through Friday

" J2 f1 ~& ]0 h6 ZJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  8 z; L2 j( w; W1 S
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
; ^  w& {4 x: \# w: `  iprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  % U/ F6 j1 {1 M
cleanliness and order in the bar.
) o5 A+ f) c" {7 a5 |3 E7 x$ e- p& D5 a# m' x5 L5 ?2 x/ s
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:, Z; A3 i+ K( x! E  P- P' c0 f
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  . w2 w0 S  a& t' N
beverage items.
8 U* _4 f# O4 J! I. v; J2 i* G1 L# |; j  q, [8 G3 b! R
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  3 Z* N! ?' W+ j9 J$ X
bar and debit floats.# X6 d) ?7 `3 B" K+ p0 ?

7 Z; R6 {9 O4 ^; A: a6 z3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
! H! V9 k; y2 {% E; Oeach shift, and upon closing.# }# k& ?. q8 x: g$ X3 M

+ R* a% r9 s! _+ u7 q7 ?- t4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  : d8 i! w  n% a, Q, B- a# S
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  , O8 T, O9 n) F
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.7 s3 D( [1 s7 K$ Z4 I6 g1 H4 o

8 }. E, U1 _& E; z9 e1 Z8 B1 H7 b0 O5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in    |" r2 \0 N  R4 F' R) C1 i6 _
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
( q% ~* e8 @* C0 qproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.. S* l& R& h9 K6 F7 M. P! V" ?1 U
3 N: p3 `* f" z/ Z% S
6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  8 N( t, n- }# p/ E4 t
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  # f: u$ E2 S. m
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  ; c" s- t- L( x; u& X* t4 x
accordance with Students' Union policies.) y4 o4 q9 e+ q) E' a: }

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  9 P& j9 }4 T1 b4 S. C* _8 D& C
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.% ~4 \; w, `; a1 Y& x6 j5 Z, z

( t/ Q, b0 \7 J% v( H$ ?8 yQUALIFICATIONS:+ K; H: q; u+ w0 a' G% X
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
# V/ ^5 ^" A, w2 a! D- L9 S# X7 u: L8 z6 Q) L( o& ~+ X$ ~
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  % b  v8 w* E, ~; L" Q
operation.

* z+ ?  d9 @4 A( U( |3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
6 A* J# w1 L2 @- y) c3 X- laccordance with Students' Union policy.: X0 v0 C  U2 j

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

4 ^& q5 r: I8 A/ x0 u5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  ) r7 L2 z! q, ?( t9 e
