11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
6 s: K6 b& Q! ~3 @: H5 uBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
: ~- _3 i8 I: ^- \' x5 Rcustomer service and room cleanliness.


: n8 @4 _+ M) D8 C3 @+ c4 BDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
( `1 @) P2 x+ D1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
- A7 i- Q/ O0 D+ D, F% Horders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
' B) G+ Y( T. r3 @% V$ X6 Zaccordance with Students' Union policies.
& x; t, [) l  D6 Y8 t" f+ z
& |; y2 R% H0 ^/ Z% _8 M6 R* }( R3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
. I' O0 K' ~4 Y- V  qincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

4 w+ H, T" U- a, Y5 G1 [- Y5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
9 ~% G' H: [  i/ Q# dintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
# U/ B4 T* q+ t, c5 ^Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

5 i" R) R  u. m; @8 d7 ~7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
* E0 ~$ E0 d8 E5 g0 [$ y+ bManager.

9 \* z' m- x* F, w+ D7 s- F" N# MQUALIFICATIONS;
' c/ j& \2 c; D, G7 ~1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
2 L* _, {* _% A6 T% ~. E1 F6 {
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
' l) R# e0 f/ z8 }3 {* [: Voperation.
1 V/ [' h2 w# Y! ~
9 j! S) u4 o5 `8 w" \3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
3 d) m) n6 H8 k
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
' J% s9 _8 |5 E; ?$ Z" `9 tcard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
: C/ ~/ l2 Q2 z2 l/ j: G2 A' d3 kprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
( @0 S$ N( G  s# R2 O, apurchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
