" J7 E  Y+ ^8 R+ Q8 k0 a$ sJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
! e$ @' S5 |4 ?5 Z* Q. ^6 vBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
/ V  B2 r) q7 |9 Z8 f6 qcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.


7 V3 x/ g' l) k  S* l- {DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
! L4 Q( ~# K# F, _3 S) F- G1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

3 G8 s- R; x/ J. W* f: I; i2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
3 @- L6 f  e! b9 u% zhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
4 j3 B4 r) F0 l- R" Y8 Vaccordance with Students' Union policies.

2 j  S0 g" k* l  l6 `$ N3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
, U( n1 d. ^9 }- L. Ktotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
, ~4 J, ?, X9 c9 H3 l* t
4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
& t, r- y6 E7 t" u3 \and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

; q/ ^6 n% `  E4 M7 Q5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
" m, @' a! E- k% {% _  N: R- jintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
, |+ F5 U/ T; d2 \4 DAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

& [4 Z. s! ]9 Z2 O7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

7 o9 r2 n& L/ |) ]# }QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
2 f7 |. T4 u- i+ f% u4 I
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

7 K7 q, k! o; }5 F6 j& Z4 K( D0 z3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
  s. R4 u1 p* l$ \  I0 kpolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

9 h  W! \4 M. z3 L, R, R/ {: f8 b5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
