Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30+ w+ v/ m( _- v# u& b0 l
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
/ S1 Q$ Y9 {7 w: l$ \& Dthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the( X) t) V4 h- ]+ t

CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus3 E1 x3 _$ e% ~/ R1 Y& \* v! F
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
/ I& `4 _3 W$ O) k3 Aetc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
% v% d( N5 P. a3 }participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
* l& L+ F+ R0 R- ^6 y# s: }% X& ^& U: ^their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during( @) h4 A$ Q' {
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,0 v. `' S0 M( C) `" E w7 p3 Q
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
' B9 _, F3 O. @; ]venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city5 k+ P- X& _! h g
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
1 m1 Y2 q- D4 Y+ E8 M8 ]excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night5 _6 g' A: t* u: a- q, `
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
; h0 y& c2 Y$ w; g1 wfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents2 u% H( A, ~% k( Y* k6 L
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint; Q3 K8 n; l% Q! P, ~% b1 O6 m
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

& _+ \* @- N; J9 H1 U+ ^5 C. ?6 DQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
; Q% R) ?/ g" h7 ECommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate. {1 P% R, d/ N( O
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,; H' P3 x g' b7 t6 a, y S
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
9 D4 @" h ]# D, a9 ha variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
2 @: H) U1 v) b. K2 |( @of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
) {$ T$ L9 q0 W: r" h! ~" d9 |4 h; Cskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
