7 }' Q) N5 |& {Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
# M, \5 g% Z4 `+ jpay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

% \  e+ l' i5 bHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
9 \# t( U6 `, f- C- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
1 S8 d- i0 V/ gCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
6 A1 @7 ]7 d7 I; n  Betc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
, i/ N$ i: \2 E: C" F% Jassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city

" E+ n# \. P* A7 d) A- a2 s. kexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
7 Y' j! W8 K9 o6 E. a7 gsuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

! N/ u9 a0 y) I8 V0 D: D( oQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
* D1 @( _6 p; e9 s2 z) x; z. ^7 BCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
7 o- J) f, |  mdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
5 u4 `! T: w3 f% H3 W- H3 fa variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
4 l! _# k4 S9 A+ _; F' D7 yskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
* O6 t7 U( U# R  S& U% z$ ~Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
