Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat' l% m" ~; k- L# e& z
pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30$ y( q ^5 Q* H( Z7 \5 U
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for' F& T, P+ g0 V" h8 }9 @/ t) t" n
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the0 z1 k. t' A( O0 i( `5 x6 K

- l' I# ~2 K& G# oDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at: t# [; @2 n0 L
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
- I% L3 s. k+ Avenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,2 C" X' l! X% T5 p* A
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for6 D. _5 E4 O( c5 \6 @
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and- D. `+ L5 l9 |/ G+ z+ f& B
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during$ k7 p$ ^( K+ i
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,6 G3 |! z; c: z7 I" }
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking3 R# k' l; |* r) o& V5 j1 H
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
- b6 t o, D# X4 joutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city: ]. [8 J8 q' ^, \+ _5 V9 p6 [
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
; s4 H. u9 [. P# e( W1 k. O5 wexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
4 m2 }* s+ _5 g, g# B* B3 }functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents

presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc. & {/ s4 I- M" q) }
6 ~) H2 U4 {9 t0 `. Y6 o+ s1 @+ rQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
; u3 _, q5 Q6 b, ?& NCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
: i+ h7 y* n5 R' w7 x% w* M4 zfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,/ @# E, X$ y) E6 |
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake# R$ R' N7 M' q2 m
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
" |! ]) Q7 l3 h9 e+ c6 Hof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management; A% {0 E" P, r4 r
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
+ i1 C( O U# v7 W9 P, vExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,! B; ^ D! e2 Z' K( X1 S/ e" C
