currently recruiting for the position of Summer Program Assistant - Job

+ F; G5 R3 B. B; FSalary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
/ ]' }. B$ ?7 m, Epay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
; V, y8 J( v' Y+ \( A3 B/ ^- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the

  I& U+ f* s  Z$ g; LDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
% Q4 ?6 V. G& B& D( I5 ICIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
7 C. u1 T% T1 t6 P* x2 K# @etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
: D. y% w8 u2 n1 g& y  h$ q9 ytheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
7 Z* v# @! T, Z" p$ Y, _their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
. E* n- Z& a" u# ?assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
8 y$ W, n# w& Y6 k; aexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
1 {- q+ x, X- jpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
2 s( c% _9 c8 U, M$ x) tfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
* [8 j* t( f# D3 ^of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
( f  t. u* y/ h; p7 S) bExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
# _3 J% }2 E; ]% q# \2 gexperience coordinating group activities an asset.
