Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
, d# K- H; e/ W: b5 h$ T2 f* Utechnicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
. F7 K: s7 N  N7 yinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
/ n; ~% @; w1 C2 vcompounds by chromatography.

Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
2 _; O" I4 E1 h5 z  OChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
7 W0 S! A9 f( B7 g- iseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
( \$ F/ j0 K% ?0 v( aThis position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
" D7 {( Q: B& Xand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
6 e; B0 K* {9 M: D4 j3 ^5 `  Y) F3 t, Zhope to work in these areas.
