Non-ferrous Laborer

Job Summary:
w- Y; q6 j$ V+ f) lThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Monday – Friday 11 am-7 pm

Job Responsibilities:
* Y, j! Z' }- R" @" _" s7 ?5 e2 t/ n& s+ Y" l& O
Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials( w. a* l8 e8 n- y. v5 n: ?( r
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials" W$ Q0 J. a. b) P/ N% \
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material! E$ q8 Z) v$ {! a0 g: j* z" j
Must be able to work safely at all times; D/ D+ [# b. e% Q5 T+ f" Z
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently% A8 n# K) P9 \" L4 h! J
Performs routine housekeeping.
) b7 r4 ?0 w3 l/ m& [7 `4 l2 R, Y( U$ rObserves and reports any safety issues3 d7 {) l/ |, o& W0 D1 Z+ [2 a

Knowledge of non-ferrous processing9 P& F/ b! p2 V' G, \7 A
High school diploma (Or GED) w7 y: e+ I3 X
Well-articulated and assertive
& N% \; T! f# Y# X9 q" `Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization- r, M# _1 Q+ f) z( N
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos9 \6 w" ^5 v3 j' T. w
Ability to write simple correspondence
