Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and8 E$ S1 z! H( { t$ G, E
weekend hours.: f% _) r/ l1 g- e9 a. d: g
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer9 ?9 P- Y! H7 a, w3 B% Q
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
( p/ Z; a- v( c( u: o; Z# qcentre.
; @4 r* ^2 i# h% o- [1 TThese responsibilities include:
; k% I6 R+ k" ]0 w1 P6 Q3 H-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
n0 Z' T; U' j; W5 ~9 Y-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
' I' j, a3 x* Q' d, D-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
. W f/ U* l8 w8 `- Y4 C4 [renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
# h1 X" c4 K; ?0 ^facilities’ maintenance, etc.
N9 D7 C* H! V5 \6 F6 N: G-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, ( \1 _2 A$ F {7 \5 Z4 F; V7 U
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination

Knowledge/Technical competencies:
" [% A4 k+ s; S3 Z/ ]-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
0 {% I' a6 [0 j( `-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
# U! K9 ?) [& N1 f5 u" nand Excel.
! M" n% m/ w. c& J0 z9 [-Experience using and updating an information database. % K/ \2 y# E! M j8 |7 Z
