Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and

You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
* }; t6 b/ Q; D5 G0 {( ]" ~+ v: Vlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the% S4 X4 U7 D J! A) _2 E- R! A
centre.8 A7 m2 X: I7 s9 y/ f' j3 p+ ?( E# h
These responsibilities include:1 P, U: L0 m5 K, h' M
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
, R, ^3 a1 ?9 M h" [& {-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
! J) H1 }3 y/ t( T-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
6 f' ]- n6 G$ I% g- Z8 p) q% y' Lrenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
: J: H& i; v. Jfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
2 h ]* W1 Z; A0 v7 V& w6 [1 J-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
# O' F/ \: B- peducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination

Knowledge/Technical competencies:, }$ m, I1 U4 z; U* y9 ?0 }3 K
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.' B; \. w+ ]' l- u
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word9 A _ Z C; ~8 Y- N: R
and Excel.
