You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer5 n) Y, ~% Y- W. N& j
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
8 Z) b6 j6 x( k2 m' G6 Icentre.$ a0 o+ d" B% C" E! u$ P
These responsibilities include:9 z1 w- H& o) |. ~- ~
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.! Y, D. X4 j& E% W" [7 W- j# L
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.5 m* L4 _" R! U8 R0 w# R
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
& ~3 O3 H7 K. M. {renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
) W) A1 o4 O. n4 g( `' c( {facilities’ maintenance, etc.
* T/ D! G% T5 q6 S3 I; _) q-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic $ {# w- ~8 B- K) F9 ~! N

Statement of Qualifications

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 4 B O/ V' u7 O
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination , b. A/ P8 m5 G

Knowledge/Technical competencies:" s$ I1 L! D8 J3 u( }' L9 D# M
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
: e6 E' _ P; z, |- ~1 n-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word

-Experience using and updating an information database. ! [* v1 R8 J, d$ Y8 k! t

Assets:

-Experience in one of the Statistics software: SAS, SPSS or STATA
