CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

7 G$ {( X, A- S& c. G/ I· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
: z% `7 I5 E+ R+ g0 R
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
' C& }; l& ^* E* v# U
· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
4 ^7 }2 w, Y' A  M
+ v4 k/ b1 ^" ^" n" I· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

& B7 Q/ @" y5 P9 y* B· Operate manual and automatic shifts

6 t  Q1 f; i4 E4 \* w! f* ^. c, X; O· Secure loads safely
8 p9 \5 o* Y- w0 g" e3 T
: H% ]' n* A: _3 t% F& s% ?* U· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
+ L( N+ r' Q& k+ y2 V8 \
· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
9 u) [! \; C4 W
· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

; Z* Z  P& c2 E' @4 {* T) Z7 c· Load securement certification
$ M1 ?4 t( F% k% M+ k
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

, D6 k  [+ e+ b2 U) l· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

' |( P! S, z* E6 m; l4 @( Z· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
