Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

" S/ V* t: m! H! n3 i0 y# q· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

$ ~  W5 c5 w; L4 X; }· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

: {! b; a6 n2 g2 l5 V· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely
! X+ i8 P  q- w9 \5 q
! q4 a+ m/ T8 W3 r· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
; J7 |( S" o) D# b" AQualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

  U. Z$ |1 q, R& a· Valid Class 1 license

& L1 a, [7 p; m/ o3 g· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification
- q9 w- l0 w/ w. Z$ z+ \
5 |+ _- `1 m6 K· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation
