CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

) ~$ Q* s  k$ N. w2 K8 |· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
/ I2 u* \+ i" V% D! m
; ?8 t# g# v' L# ?0 k9 M5 R· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
$ F& u  P; Q* _# L0 Q+ X. m' ~8 a3 }
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
! [  v/ s8 X& V' U5 m
5 M) ?3 x6 |4 l3 I5 z0 a. v· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

3 O  \$ G/ m* F) Z· Operate manual and automatic shifts

* e; e: Q% g0 u0 @· Secure loads safely
0 q' y+ n6 r% @, S( n( `0 y8 r
· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
, v  ^: ~5 j6 F( i% \& XQualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

$ x; H( [0 N' Y' a. k1 ~6 w· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification
1 s( k/ {3 f" d1 L6 r' Q
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

$ d- g6 @- W  c  H$ V/ N· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

  _5 {4 O# e. s2 V· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
